Hello,
I'm considering purchasing the TGE. However, I have some questions.
1. What compiler do I need to compile the code?
2. What other software do I need in order to get going with the SDK?
3. Will my present hardware be enough (PII-350/64MB/4MB Video)? Should I start saving my nickels and dimes?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I'm running a 350 256Mb ram and a GeForce2 GTS (32mb) card and I haven't run into any problems.

A 350 is fine. I'd get a better graphics card and more ram though. You can find both pretty cheap now-a-days.I'm running a 350 256Mb ram and a GeForce2 GTS (32mb) card and I haven't run into any problems.

I agree my son runs T2 on a P2 233 with 128 ram on a 32 meg tnt card quite reasonably so a half decent card and some extra ram will get you up ad running.

I would also like to hear about the compiler(s) you've been using to compile the code.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks, everyone, for the low-down on the hardware requirements.I would also like to hear about the compiler(s) you've been using to compile the code.
Thanks,
Mike

I don't have the TGE yet myself, but I gather from what I've read that it compiles under MSVC++ 6.0

and 3. Debian woody/sid has problems though that we're
still trying to work out. BSD might work, although
that part of the unix port is not being maintained
by anyone as far as I know.

Torque compiles and runs fine under linux with gcc 2 and 3. Debian woody/sid has problems though that we're

I'd look into upgrading..hardware is pretty cheap.
