Selling content Packs to licensee only

I was wondering where whould I ask to find out what exactly may or may not contain a CPack; That is cause I plan to release in the near future a vehicle based pack with scripts (.cs files). I mean, how do I know my potential buyer is a Torque Owner?

You can give out just the shell that requires the customer to have the SDK... I have seen that a few times. Then you have a set of instructions that let's them mod there SDK and add custom files to make your pack work.

Your best bet to get a answer you can sleep well with on this situation, especially regarding content packs would be to contact Josh Williams, GG's 3rd Party Development Director, at joshw@garagegames.com

Unfortunatelly, these days Josh is out of reach. I still wait an answer from him. Thanks for advice though :)

Since modding the engine is free (which you can do with the distributed demo) there should be no Problem at all selling a content pack to anyone who wants it.

*Unless there are source changes. Or unless the EULA restricts script distribution to non-owners (say, T2D).

this comes with one caveat, and that is it has to be game related if it's the indie license.

If i recall correctly i vaguely remember reading something in the eula that says basically if you own an SDK license you can sell anything torque related to anyone as long as you dont sell the source code. that would include the scripts.this comes with one caveat, and that is it has to be game related if it's the indie license.

Torque Owner Artur Hallmann
AFAIK there should be no problems with distributing .cs files, it would be different if you make many engine changes, and want to include the whole source files.
