Mission Impossible 3 by Alias and Lost creator

Here's the teaser trailer for Mission Impossible 3 directed by the creator of the T.V. shows Alias and Lost. If you are not a fan of Alias... you should be. After MI2 I was afraid of any more Mission Impossible movies. I mean... it was directed by John Woo and somehow it just didn't work right. Not compared to any other John Woo movies. Well, this teaser trailer for MI3 has made me an MI Bitch again. Check it out below.

Man that Mission Impossible music.. I just can't withstand its insane power. I would sell my soul to see this movie right now just because of the music :)

I was impressed particularly by the first MI movie because it, unlike most mainstream movies, required more than 3 working brain cells to enjoy. I hadn't seen that many twists in a movie in years! I never saw the second. Hopefully the 3rd will be as interesting as the first!

Love the music, of course!

Saw the trailer earlier today..looks cool from what was shown. Speaking of John Woo, I miss movies like Broken Arrow and Faceoff...and other action movies during that time like the Rock. Everything now has to have super exaggerated martial arts where they fly in the air 50 feet before swinging a punch... Sigh...

I hear ya. Face Off blew me away when I saw it in the theater. I miss really great action movies like that. I tell ya though, action games are the action movies of the future. Look at Chronicles of Riddick and then Escape From Butcher Bay. Which was better. EFBB had more story and better action than COR AND you got to do all of the cool ass moves. Still... nothing like watching a bad ass action flick in the theater. Can't wait for King Kong in 2 days!

@Anton

Its to the point where I am looking foward to the next Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay films cause while they are exaggerated and hollywood-ized, they aren't going overboard with flying characters, dragons, and hobbits. I know when I see those names in a film, I am about to go through a roller-coaster ride of emotions....sad, but true :P

I saw Stealth recently, it was better than I thought it would be (which I thought it would totally suck)...its something that sorta reminded me of older John Woo movies, though not as good. I rented it for a $1 and it was really well worth it :P One thing me and my fiance realized was that we still didnt know the people's names by the end of the movie.

Movies I am waiting to see:
Island
Halo
Cars
X-men 3
MI:III
and I am really curious about the new Transformers! :)

Edit: and King Kong :)

@Blake

Have you seen Layer Cake? Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels? Snatch?

Watch them in this order:

1. Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels.
2. Snatch.
3. Layer Cake.

Then after watching Layer Cake... get happy... cause Daniel Craig, the actor of the main character in Layer Cake, is the new James Bond in Casino Royale this next Christmas.

I saw Lock Stock and 2 Smokin Barrels, but not the others. It was pretty funny :) Ya heard about him being the new Bond, still...he's no Pierce Brosnan :P We'll see, hope he's good in it. The last 007 movie I didnt care for that much though.

Rent and watch Layer Cake. If you don't like it, I will Pay Pal you your rental fee. It's that good.

Looks like it may be a good movie, but I dunno if it'll beat Monkey Shines...

MI:3 looks great! King Kong was good, I do question their choice of Jack Black. I came to the conclusion that if you had never seen the original, Jack was a good pick. But if you did see the original, he was a bad pick. Almost ruind the move, luckily the movie was good enough for me to oversee that. Just my two cents.

Just saw the Island...I loved it, and Scarlett Johannson :)

I really liked The Island. My wife and I plan to own it someday. It's not often that you get an actual sci-fi movie. Lots of movies with clones and robots and space and stuff... but hardly any that are actually a sci-fi movie in the sense that they explore the possibilities of the future and make you think about how they may effect us. I really like that. Plus... those flying bikes were cool.

When describing the Island to my buddies, I say its Bad Boys 2 meets Minority Report :P I heard it did really bad at the box office in ticket sales...shame as it was a darn good movie.

Blake, that description of The Island wouldn't make want to see it. I thought Minority Reported sucked. BB2 was an OK action film, but the bit where the guy turns up to take the daughter out seemed completely uneccessary.

Maybe I'm getting old.. :(

Having said that, each film should be judged on its own merits (or lack of them) so I'll wait to see The Island before drawing any conclusions about it.

I loved the Island it was smart, fairly deep and I agree, those flying bikes were awesome. I have a sports bike and although it goes really fast and I can get around traffic jams easy enough by filtering, being able to just go over the traffic would be awesome.... not sure I'd want to try to get my knee down though ;-)

I liked MI2 better than MI1 .. but then it's been ages since I saw it. Perhaps it warrents another viewing.

Philip - Haha, ya I knew that discription wouldn't fly with a lot of active movie watchers..but hell, I like Minority Report and Bad Boys 2. Minority Report had a very gritty realistic feel of the future, while Bad Boys 2 was just a adrenaline pumping action film. The Island was not exactly the same as Minority Report, but it had that grim future theme, but the action was undoubtably BB2 since it was the same director. :)

One of the best things about Minority Report was the amount of offort they put into thinking about possible future technologies. Some of it was pap, but ideas like the sick sticks (Why haven't they made it to FPS games yet?) and the air cannons.. really cool stuff.

And the ads being EVERYWHERE even commercials (albeit cartoons) on cerial boxes... it's so gonna happen.

I saw King Kong this weekend and loved it. Jack Black.. I wanted him to die so bad! I was hoping Kong would toss him around, then jump up and down on his broken body. Up above, some stated that they didn't understand why they cast Jack. I thought he was a good cast. The character was annoying and Jack has a knack of playing good annoying characters.

I'm looking forward to Underworld 2 (starts in January).. and Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (in July) and the The Devinci Code (with Tom Hanks) - May 19th

MI:3 - I may see it in the theathers may wait. Not a big Tom Cruise fan (I think he's overrated).. though I will admit--I liked him in War of Worlds.
