Making a semi transparant texture? (muzzleflash, particles etc.)

Hello everyone, sorry to bother you all with a question that people seem to have figured out the solution to already but I just can't make it work.

I've read: Transparency in DTS Shapes, Among Other Things... and Different textures per face amongst others and tried folowing them to the letter but still no luck, can someone please have a look at my ".png" and ".blend" and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Click here to go to URL

@ Scott: Thanks man, that did the trick :)

Don't forget to do a duplicate of your plane (in edit mode) and flip the normal if you want to see the flash from both sides.

Fantastic!. I must have already had that set in my file when I did that first set of instructions you linked to above. I didn't realize it was something that you had to manually set. Don't forget to do a duplicate of your plane (in edit mode) and flip the normal if you want to see the flash from both sides.
