Not a game-dev thing but worth knowing about IMO.
from an ingenuity point of view, you've got to tip the old hat to these guys.

IMHO you are in much more danger from a SpyAxe infection, but ok well anyways.
On another note, everyone who runs an instant messenger (AIM, MSN,YIM etc), should run to one of the free online virusscanners and double check that they are not infected with an even nastier worm I started seeing signs about last night,
FreeScan
Freescan seems to be the only thing that can detect it at the moment, and even then it's some obscure Heuristic detection.
Also sadly FreeScan cannot clean viri, just detect them.

Not news to me either, but then again my day job primarily involves removing Viri off of peoples computers.IMHO you are in much more danger from a SpyAxe infection, but ok well anyways.

Hehhehe....I always laugh at people who use instant messengers...especially when things go wrong and they don't know why =)

@Matt are you kidding? Of course there are Viruses for Mac and Linux too. Problem is they need either for you have a poorly configured system, or for you to do something really stupid, like entering the root password while trying to see nude pix of britney ;)

Thank god at least the system call hooking is gone, that'll make rootkits much, much harder to find, err I mean harder to get.

@Randy, take it from me I remove this stuff all day long. We have a preview version of Vista at work. It's security model is akin to a piece of swiss cheese. Which I guess is better than the XP model of hot butter, but it's still not very secure.Thank god at least the system call hooking is gone, that'll make rootkits much, much harder to find, err I mean harder to get.
