by Apparatus · in General Discussion · 12/04/2005 (4:18 pm) · 9 replies

Here is the latest addition, although in a temp state because the code ain't yet in there: A vehicle for the Ork(s); After I am done with my current stuff i'll try to add a huge crossbow on top of that (giving that i succeed mounting the player first).

If we succesfully implement the vehicle in the fps.multiplayer it's still something.

Very nice!!!

I have been itching to play with the FPS demo, but have been tied up with the RTS kit.

Are you using the Lighting kit?

..Are those catapults in the background? they need to launch players ..sort of and airborne assault :O)

I don't use TLK (yet). The screenshot is not eidited neither. Perhaps is just the terrain texturing receiving better the light (like in the example); Those are some test vehicles so far; no weapon, nothing other than driving around.

I use TGE's terrain features - texture + detail + bump; only, the textures are not realistic, are procedural. As you can see, it looks smooth an lit properly (default sunlight)

...I had not idea that the terrain could take a bump map. I knew about the detail map. Hmm, go figure.

I didn't think you were using the lighting kit, but wasn't sure. It all looks very nice, well done.

Your work gives a good example of the benefit of having all of your art working together to create a good composition with a consistent balance.

Can't wait to see more.
