1.4 Question

I bet this has been asked, but...

I am currently using TGE 1.3 to make my game, if I replace the exe with a TGE 1.4 would it require me to change any code or models? If so, how hard would it be to port everything to the new version?

If you have no code changes you should simply move in your assets (trees, interiors, anything of this sort). 1.4 exe may want to take a look at some dependent files available (or changes available) only in 1.4.

Well, I tired that and it seems I will have to change some scripting code. Som buttons don't work and the splash screens don't show anymore.

There some differences between 1.3 and 1.4. It's not quite a drop-in change from the scripting side but it's fairly close.

Ok, I will give the conversion a try, I get about 15 more FPS on 1.4 so it's worth the time to convert it.

Thanks for the help! There are no changes with the way you need to save textures and meshes right?

Nope, all model formats are the same (or backwards compatible).
