Kork needs a will to live :)

Hi all... worst coder in the world here trying to get the hang of something:
I was goofing around with the FPS Starter kit earlier today and looking at the aiplayer, and I was wondering if there was a way to get Kork the orc to stop running around his railroad track (path) and shoot back a little.
I know this can be done in C++ ...but has anyone come up with any purely scripted ways to do simple AI in a cs file that works with the starter kits?
Thanks ahead for any insight. :)
