Hello everybody, let me introduce you some characters I have been working on last weeks:

I have them completed now with the basic animations, and they are working great with this awesome Torque engine. I am planning to offer my services as an artist to the comunity, so any constructive sugestion and coments will be very wellcome.

Regards.

Very nice models. They seem well optimized. I'm sure your work will be much needed here.

Thank you very much everybody. The rabit model has 1100 polys, the orangutan has 1494 and the turtle 1062, each with a 512 x 512 map. I will make some movies to show them in action.

Regards.

Thanks again :)

Here you can see some animations captured from TSTP (I cannot get a good capture inside Torque right now, because of my poor old machine):

www.gustavom.com/movies/rabbitBack.mov

www.gustavom.com/movies/orangutanRun.mov

I hope you like them. Regards.

Hey Gustavo, can you drop me a line I think your work would be excellent for a project I'm thinking about doing.
I may be interested in licensing these models from you.

For those interested this looks to me like we need to call him Proffesor Gustavo

Makes me wish I lived in spain maybe he could make an artist out of me ;)

I forgot to mention that I am using Blender for all my modelling, animating and exporting work. I think it is very interesting for the indie comunity to spread the word about that excelent free aplication. Blender Rocks!

I agree Blender does rock, I own 3DS Max, Blender, Maya, Lightwave even MilkShape.
Blender is the only one I could ever feel comfortable recommending to someone who wanted to learn to model. It is such an excellent application.

Hehe, thank you Dreamer, but I would like better you call me just Gustavo. Too much people calling me "profe" at the Faculty here, and I don't like titles too much... ;)

Just dropped you some lines. Regards.

I like the characters a lot -- the turtle needs more contrast to make his eyes stand out though. Very nice personality throughout.

Thank you, Anthony. I am working some more those models, and building some others. Once I get a good group of them, I plann to release them as a content pack.

Gustavo

Nice work. I'm working on a single-player RPG, so every time I see a "creature", it gets me "excited".

Hey, I *really* like those... oh man, I would love to do a game with adult humor centered around characters like this... what contrast!
