New Monitor

Yahoo! With all the labor I've been putting the last month, I just now treated myself to a new Flat Panel 17" Sony SDM-HS75P!!! Very sharp[once I finally got a digital monitor for the unused port on my Ge3 card], crisp image it produces; especially with the digital port, ;)...little pricey, but will get some back on a rebate, eh.
Not as nice as the 19", of course; but that was a few hundred more. And the best image quality of all the units on display. Larger than my current old ViewPanel VG150 from ViewSonic, I miss the parrots though. It's now the workhorse on this online terminal.

Awesome :) I just recently got a 21" Samsung LCD. I also have a 17" Sceptre...both look great but the Samsung looks way better. I can see this thread turning into a shout-out for what monitor everyone has..maybe :P

People have been complaining for years that LCD's are crappy for gaming cecause there's too much "ghosting", but I have never experienced this with mine, not even the slightest ghosting with fast-paced FPS games. I guess it all depends on the quatlity of LCD you buy.

Back in 2002, for the price I got my 17" LCD, I could have gotten 2 15" LCD's for about $50 more (same brand, and nearly same model). And shortly after that, they came out with ultra thin bezel LCD's for the same price so there's little border if you ever decide to run dual monitors.People have been complaining for years that LCD's are crappy for gaming cecause there's too much "ghosting", but I have never experienced this with mine, not even the slightest ghosting with fast-paced FPS games.
