Buying License as a Gift

I would like to purchase a license for someone else. It's my understanding that, basically, this is not permitted under the license agreement because it is non-transferable:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. LICENSE GRANT.
Licensor grants Licensee a single seat to an individual, a limited non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Torque Game Engine (Engine)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Therefore, my question is can I just buy something like a gift certificate whereby I can pay for the license and the person I am giving it to can sumbit their info and get licensed themselves.
Thanks.

Usually when I give a gift to someone I don't expect it to be transferred back. :)Thanks, I will call.

Then again I could be wrong.

I don't know how legal this is but why not just create an account for them with all their information in it (except email address for right now) and then buy the license. Then give them the account information. That might work but then again I think their is a stipulation in the license about transferring accounts. May have to talk to GG about it.Then again I could be wrong.

Are non-transferable licences legal?

@ Sam. Yes. Of course.

Because I don't know their information. Nor do i need to know it.

That's why a gift certificate (i.e. enter your gift certificate code for payment) would be ideal. Easy to give via MSN/e-mail. No exchange of personal info.

Yeah, a gift-certificate system would be wonderful here, I've stuck TSE and T2D on my X-mas list, but had to do it indirectly (ie: 'money for... $X')

And money always seems so impersonal...but giving this as a gift is great.
