What Nvidia card do you have?

serriously tho, NvPerfhud is the UNOFFICIAL official performance meter for TSE on nvidia video cards..
Frame analysis mode allows you to see each batch of drawprim calls one at a time to find potential slowdowns. BUT, the docs mention that it has incompatibilities with time based animations, and that can sometimes cause this mode to not work.
I was hoping to have some one verify that they have gotten frame analysis mode working, or provide me some direction in making it so..

I think I tried getting that to run a long time ago without luck.

@Kevin I think it's designed for Nvidia GPU hardware. Does it have ATI HAL's?

NvPerfhud is sweet, it would be nice if it worked.

Just the counters on it are super useful, though it would appear the latest PIX has managed to supplant most of its functionality.

What's PIX?

It doesn't work in realtime like NVPerfHud though.

PIX is a tool that comes with the DXSDK. The latest iteration that I've used (October 2005) is really nice, and with ATI's PIX plugin, you can get a lot of good rendering info on the scene. It doesn't work in realtime like NVPerfHud though.

Can anyone give any information on how to run PIX or get it set up so we can do analysis with it?
