    The idea that game journalists could be playing a big part in the advancement (whatever that is) of the industry/medium is pretty interesting. A shortcoming of gaming that wasn't mentioned though was the fact that it hasnt been around that long. Granted, movies have only been around for just over a hundred years, but thats long enough to develope a critical language in which to talk about them. Games are just now at the very beginning of being seen as an art form. I think it needs to break into that space in a major way before gaming press is any kind of driving force.
