I've looked at it a bit, and it looks good. Were you going to do a demo video(have you already)? I'm thinking pretty serious about getting this; especially since Constructor seems to have fallen prey to the "someday it'll be done" bug.

I don't know constructor seems nearly upon us they definetely are working on it and the latest videos are impressive. also the compatibility it will have with torque will be unrivaled. Also many other projects have ended so now more time is open. this has showed in the approval time of resources (it takes less than 2 months now!)

Well i use 3dws with torque as is and it works seemless. I enjoy working in a high quality program compared to like torque and plus leadwerks just released terrain and the terrain lessons have been aded to the dvd.

Alright but just to let you know the terrain in 3dws is very very easy to use sculpt and such not only that but you can paint meshes randomly on so you can create forest and such very easyily. With DOF

Constructor is the Garage Games BSP editing tool that is forthcomming, however this really boils down to similar threads over a year ago.

Well over a year ago people asked should they buy CShop or wait for 3DWS, the general accepted answer was work with what is out there because products tend to have unknown release date and it can stall your project.

Waiting on tools when there are perfectly good toolsets available is literally wasting time, some may see it as wasting money if they buy both however in the end I generally have several different kinds of the same software due to the fact no software will ever fit every need you want unless you personally write it.

That being said I am a proud owner of 3DWS and it works great for creating dif files and is compatible with several different engines out of the box. When Constructor is finally released I will demo it, if it is nice I will buy that one as well. Shopping by "promised features" is hard because sometimes the features don't work as well as they should.

And yes I will be checking out the free lessons from the dvd however I will mos likely wait until it can be completed with terrain added as well before I would purchase it.
