Storyboarding?

I wasn't sure where to put this so if it is in the wrong forum feel free to move it.

I am putting together a level or two for a developer and I am going to build a few models for it as well. But I am looking for good visual resources to help me build my storyboards of what the animation ,dress etc will look like.

So my question is this... Are there any good resources of hundreds of pictures of Viking, Celtic, or general Medieval style buildings clothing etc?

I am looking for reference NOT TO COPY.

Any help would be fantastic.

Look up a book on theatrical costuming for the periods you are looking at (be more definite than medieval, though, since that is a nebulous moniker). Find the books and look at the works cited. Look up those books. Much of the time you will be given textual descriptions of the garb of the day, though you may be treated to illustrations either from the period or reflections of the period through the eyes of a different period. Also go to the teenage/children's section. These are not wholly accurate, but there are more renderings usually drawn from other art from a variety of periods (which is the reason for inaccuracy). Next, hit the adult section for history and art history for the period and area that you want. You will notice a lot of similarities and inaccuracies. Also make sure to check out the encyclopedia section. Look for the visual encyclopedias. Checking the sources in things like the Cambridge Guide to Men at Arms or The Illustrated History of Shipwrights can provide some invaluable references.
