1.4 multiplayer status?

I really wish the current HEAD had a status/issues page.
I want to know -- has anyone been able to get a recent Mac and Windows build to work in multiplayer with clients from each platform?
I cannot get an XP client to join a Mac server (bad packet) or vice-versa. Has anyone seen different results?

We did a fair amount of interplatform testing (the big issue is endianness), without problems. Are you running an absolute stock build from CVS (ie, a clean checkout to an empty directory)? Does it work OK from PC to PC or Mac to Mac?

It does - just a private one. :)We did a fair amount of interplatform testing (the big issue is endianness), without problems. Are you running an absolute stock build from CVS (ie, a clean checkout to an empty directory)? Does it work OK from PC to PC or Mac to Mac?

To answer this new question:
I only have one mac. It runs nicely PC to PC and I see survivable failures if I run alone on a Mac set up as a MP host.

Just as an update, I sent Ben journals of the issues I see for HEAD right now between Mac and PC on starter.fps.To answer this new question:

Update: to place the blame in the proper place, the current HEAD is working nicely. There is something oddly amiss in my build which I thought was clean. I suffer alone!tone

Yes - we did some testing of latest trunk and it works great. :)
