Hi guys,

I'm having problems running the RTS kit after i install it. When I laucnh RTS Starter Kit Demo, windows starts sreaching for RTS_TEST.exe, which it cannot find, and neither can I. Is there anyone that can help with this?

Yeah, the problem is that the installer is misnaming the file the shortcut should be pointing to. The file name that is created is: RTS_DEBUG.exe. So I just changed the shortcut to point to RTS_DEBUG.exe. Conversly you can also change the name of the real exe to match the shortcut. :)

Hmm... here's my so-far experience, guys (I've just got Indie license, and RTS starter kit):
Our "phantom" installed shortcut said:
C:\Torque\RTSStarterKit\example\RTS_TEST.exe
-Rename word "TEST" to "DEBUG" as seen above: (then: exe file will get some proper icon now...)
-When clicked on it, then: it starts the "640x480" like normal screen (you're done!).

Please, also exept my modest overview, if it helps:
===
Options are:
"Start Game" "Join Game" View Demo"
in the next row, there is also:
"Options" and "About"
in the next row, there is also:
"Quit"
===
Then: it's good idea to go to "Options" first, BEFORE you mess up more...
And: to choose good working resolution for you FIRST.
-Downfall (from my point of view): there is no 1600X1200 option offered, and that's MINUS from me, so far.
Then: I coose 1024X768 (most "common" accepted one, and reasonably good for work).
-Highlight: it HAS option for taking screenshot as JPEG (salute!),
-Highlight: it HAS the option for Fulscreen Video (salute!),
-Highlight: it HAS option to choose from 16 bit, and 32 bits depth (salute!),
-Downfall: when changing these options: mouse "goes wild" MINUS from me,
-Audio ? here it goes:
-Open AL driver from Creative Labs (salute!) (and: can we get more audio-driver options ?)
-Master, Shell, and Sim volumes (cool),
-Controls ?
-Great list is offered here, and each could be re-mapped by double click (salute!),
-Downfall: there is no options for: stop unit (maybe "S"), and scatter units (maybe "X" ?)MINUS from me,
===that's===for===the===options===
Now: let's go for "Start Game"
-Downfall: you have to click very fast, or it won't work (MINUS),
Choosing "Example Mission"...
Too many sims is there intially, and there is no "automatic attack" cursor when mouse-over enemy unit.
(Units are not separated on 2 enemy factions, as well, by default). (MINUS)
(I guess-this could be edited later...),
Camera is good, but feels "unhealthy" somewhat (too quick zoom in, and outs, when going down: simply
falls too fast...
Downfall: there is NO right-click-scroll inbuilt (MINUS at huge - I was hoping for this when buying it...).
(please e-mail me how to activate it IF exists, thx...)
