Quote:Does the story go along with the game???That actually made me laugh because until Doom 3, I didn't realize there was a story (and with Doom 3, there wasn't much of one).

If i remember right, John Carmack wanted one made for years. A few of the movie deals failed before too.

I guess it was a bit stronger than the story to Bad Dudes, but not much. You didn't even get a burger!

Yes. I read the booklet that came with the game and read the text page at the end.I guess it was a bit stronger than the story to Bad Dudes, but not much. You didn't even get a burger!

I give it a C+ B- grade. It is pretty well made with two exceptions: one, it drags a few times; two, it isn't jaw dropping cool. There is not enough 'holy shit' moments. I think that the reason for that is obviously the budget. They did perfectly well with the budget they had and probably better than most movies for that money but it would have been bad ass if they had had 10 to 20 million more to put it over the top. That's what I think anyway. I hope it does well enough business to warrant a sequel. Funny enough. I think that for once the movie would have been better off in the hands of a director like Paul Verhoevan: director of Robocop and Starship Troopers. Starship Troopers is one of those movies that had a huge budget but just didn't find an audience. Probably due to terrible acting by the leads. This movie was pretty well cast... i think it just needed a Starship Troopers budget and it would be a massive hit.

red dot sight. You could even see the label. Also I saw a glock 22 and you could see the serial
number sticker for a second.

Did any one else spot Tim Willits from Id in a heap of bodies near the end of the film? I could swear it was him... and he did mention that he visited the set.

I mean the monsters etc from the game would be good enough quality for movies.
A bit like Star Wreck, that was cool (especially for $0 budget)

I think it'd be cooler if they just used the game as a set and put real people in it (using a green screen thing).I mean the monsters etc from the game would be good enough quality for movies.

If he can do it to the Bible and TS Eliot, Andrew Lloyd Weber can set anything to music.
