@Blake
I am in North East Austin close to Parmer and 290. My day job is in RR, though.

@Donald,
Would you happen to know a Stacye Harris? I've worked with her on several projects at work and I think she lives in Hutto...

Neat tool lol

Much better than the horrible original attempt...
Looking back 3.5 years and realizing how horrible that map looked lol.

Edit: So... then could GG embed this into the community page to replace the current map?

*bump*

I thought since this topic has been down for a while, may as well resurface it. The map is still there and waiting for whoever hasn't signed up on it!

Things like this are why I wish these forums had stickies. ;)

Its interesting to note the trends. Majority in the United States, most of those on the East side, with a band down the Middle, and most of the West side along the coast area. I wonder if one could find a cause for this sort of grouping.

@Jacob - I think it just follows technology.

Some cities had more bases and schools... they where way ahead in getting computerized worker class. And that produces Kiddo's that learn computers etc. A lot of it is even related to WWII and post automation. Where it was going on.

"Info workers".

Hand me that punch card... CHICK CHICK..

These older tech centers had IP subnet's first... people had home computers etc.

[qoute]That's damn cool. Somebody putting the google maps API to good use. :) Only problem will be keeping this thread active so many people find it.[/qoute]

how to keep a thread active:

when it is not on the first page, make a post yourself, say something like "fdhsajkglkakj" and then delete your post and the thread's at the top.
