What happened to GORPE

by George · in General Discussion · 10/13/2005 (10:02 am) · 4 replies

What ever happened to the GORPE project? I've done some searches and it look like a really interesting project, but every link seems to be dead.

Is the project officially dead?

Uh, if you are going to use an acronym, for god sakes spell it out so people know exactly what you are talking about.

if you are talking about GORE, the AI/Expert system, from what I heard it's on hold until the author of the core AI releases (and makes the sourcecode available), which is supposed to be before the end of the year...

...but u know that could mean 'when hell freezes over'.

http://www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=32004 that's the original GORE thread.

The acronym was spelt correctly... It's not a big deal if it is actually dead or not. I was just wondering if anyone had any word on what happened with it.

    Thanks tho.

I'm pretty sure that it was dropped because of the new Atlas system in TSE.
Awhile back I searched and didn't find alot of info.
I still really need the features of GORPE also.
For now, I'm waiting on TSE to be complete.
