Most common answer: when it's ready.

if you mean v1.1, well i would gather it would be released sometime after TGE 1.4 (since t2d uses the 1.4 base) so dont bother asking until tge 1.4 comes out :)

"When It's Done"

"When It's Done" is a pretty lame answer. How in the heck is a dev supposed to base a dev schedule around a product, when they don't even have a rough clue as to when that product will be finished, or usable. If you want people to dev games on your product, help them plan there development by giving them some kind of time frame as to when it will be out.
[/rant]
I mean no offense to anyone. :) Please give a rough estimate as to when something multiplayer ready will be available. 1 month - 3 months? 3 - 6 months? 6 - 9 months ? At least that's better then sometime between now and never.
[/rant (Guess I wasn't actually done ranting)]
Once again. No offense to anyone.

i dont understand how his title says "Associate" with that kind of answers...
that kind of answers only says that they are not serious "posters", so they title was increased based on "search in google", "some time after today and before the next blue moon", "when it's ready", "Use the search Luke"...
this guys make the threads tend to dead, sad, very sad.

Take a look a little down this forum itself and you'll see a thread titled "Dare I Ask - Release Date T2D?". This was posted 4 days before this thread opened up.
Insulting other members of this board and calling them lamers is hardly likely to get people to help you out when do post any further threads.

Whenever people rant they should expect same toned answers in response.
At least sometime between today and the next blue moon is better then now and never.
By the definition of a blue moon.... We are either going to have T2D between now and june 30, 2007. Or we're going to have it between now and May 2008....
Expected date of T2D release: June 30, 2007 :)

I didn't find Ron's answer inappropriate. Whenever people rant they should expect same toned answers in response.

@Philip, I agree Matt should have taken the time to do a search first. As well calling people names isn't a good idea.

@Matthews, from: www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=35028 Quote:Months, not years (but maybe "year", as in next year!).So I guess we should see a release soon.

Chris, I appreciate that :) My response was more aimed at Matthews_30.

@Chris, Its not that the answer in itself was inappropriate; I think people expect a certain level of professionalism from an "Associate". I would have expected a more helpful answer from Ron because of his title.

Besides, an associate is just a member of the community. He can say and do whatever he wants to (unless a mod edits of boots him) . . . His title means nothing... Other then the fact that GG recognizes him as being a valued member of hte community that has gone out of his way to help others a lot.
If he chooses to be sarcastic occasionally then good for him. Being an associate should not alter his behaviour on the forums. It's not like he's employed by GG and demanded to act a certain way.

David - Ron was just joking around. him and I have worked together a bit, and he was just teasing me. No biggie. Besides, an associate is just a member of the community. Other then the fact that GG recognizes him as being a valued member of hte community that has gone out of his way to help others a lot.

Maybe it's just a naming thing then? When I see the title "Associate" I think this person is a voice for GG. As a customer I expect a certain level of professionalism from GG. When I read the post I thought to myself "wow who's running this company?". It goes back to the not clueing in right away and that can put some people off.
Hehe maybe I'm the only one who is slow to clue in? ;)

@Chris, I understand that people here make friends and joke around which is really great. It's good to have that kind of environment, but people new to theses forums don't always clue in right away to the different relationships.Quote:It's not like he's employed by GG and demanded to act a certain way.

It's GG's way of showing respect... Not a title.
10/12/2005 (10:01 am)
No no no... Associates are not employed by GG. They are simply community members like you and me who have repeatedly gone out of there way to help people on irc and the forums etc. It's GG's way of showing respect... Not a title.
