Hi!!!
it's sky_lark
I have a question.
Right now i cannot make very good lvls because they either consist of rockets, teleporters, walls, and first aid pack or they are the lvls that came with the game but edited. So I would really like to know how to do at least 1 of of these things:
Turrets
Forcefield projectors (laser beams)
Flag(s) (their colors, too.)
Zones
Nexus
Colored-zones you put the flag on in Retrieve
Soccer Ball
Goal in Soccer
and finally, how to change the lvl type (what i mean is its always at zapmatch; switch it to CTF or somethin)
Thanx a ton,
sky_lark
(BTW, tell me if ya play Dark Horizions Lore; im called [JOM]sky_lark)

Open the default maps and study the contents. Somethings have to be copied and pasted into new maps. Nexus, goal zones, soccer balls, zones, and asteroids must be copied and placed in new maps.
With the over modified maps you have been hosting. My advice would be to try to make a ctf with just loadout zones and flags nothing else. Having buildoffs and stand offs due to buildoffs really is not that much fun besides for those few who enjoy repairing things and just loitering around the flag.
If you look at all the default maps no one team has more than 4 turrents and 4 forcefield projectors. Going over those numbers usually but not always ruins the maps.
Also when making a map try to avoid making bottlenecks. Give people options and a number of different routes to the levels goal. When I say bottleneck I mean one route to the flag or so on. That one route will be camped and it will hinder the game. With more than one route people will have to actually play and not sit and camp.
As said above make a ctf with just flags and loadouts. The simplest maps are usually the most enjoyable to play. When your making maps thats the entire point making good maps for people to have fun playing.
