Composer looking for a dedicated team

Hello Everyone,
My name is Raison Varner and I'm a composer living in the greater Philadelphia area.
I am looking for a serious team of people who are developing a game and need an original soundtrack to their game.
I am looking for someone who is developing a game in order to show off their skills in order to get a job in the gaming field. I'm looking for a team that will be taking their game to tradeshows and events (like the GDC) so that I can get some exposure along with everyone else on the project.
I've been part of a lot of projects that have gone belly up because of the management and the lack of motivation and determination in the teams that I have worked with. And I'm looking for someone who's working on a more mature level.
I just completed a project for Renegades 2: A Tribes 2 Mod
I wrote 42min of music to give a little something new to their project and make it an optional client-side add-on pack.
The music is in an installer that is configured to install to a Tribes 2 directory, but it essentially decompresses the mp3s so you can install it to any directory you like.
That's a small sample of my work and I can offer a lot more music to anyone who's interested.
If you have any questions or want to get in touch with me you can do so at Straius@Bellatlantic.net
Thanks :)

That idea looks very very cool. I like it a lot and I see exactly where you're coming from. Sounds like it'd be a really important tool to the industry in general and Mod makers alike.
unfortunately, I'm kind of unofficially involved with a group in Canada called PsyRealms. They're actually creating a full RPG from scratch and while I haven't signed a contract yet or anything, I probably will be towards the end of March.
They said that they already have people who will publish their game when it comes out, so it could tentatively be my first published title! Which will be a HUGE step in my career.
I don't know how much of my time will be taken up with Sephira (RPG name) since it's in very early stages of development. So i might be able to contribute to your project in some manner.
But I'm not sure where the music part comes into play... I'm not really sure where I would fit in unless you want to create you're own SP or MP style game using URGE.
But tell ya what, when you get to the point where you need music, drop me a line. I'm guessing that I'll only be able to really supply you with a title theme, something for a demo movie... stuff like that.
But of course, I have absolutely NO idea what kind of situation I'll be in a year or even a month from now.
So keep in touch. :)
I didn't want to respond in the other thread because I just didn't think that what I had to say had anythign to do with the thread in general. hehe
Good luck!

thats awesome about the job, man! good luck with it. i was just about to email you, then i remembered this post, so ill go finish it up and send it.
Torque Owner Jeff Highsmith
join my team. it will be a few months before we get rolling, but you don't need to worry about the project being finished, as i actually intend to pay the programmers! i cant pay for sound, but i intend to offer royalties to everyone not receiving a check.
i don't know if you remember, but we talked a bit about my project, called URGE, a few months back.
it would be cool if you could bring along some of the team you worked with too :)
i cant email right now, so post under "team building > a different kind of torque project" if you're interested.
