Ok I've been reading 3d game programming all in one
But i'm still a little confused. What is a datablock really?
Is it like a function?
Is it something that you use anytime you need create an object?
Also where do you store an object's behavior? Like damage ratings and hit points and the like.
I know this is a super newbie question but i really need some clarity. Thanks in advance.

And please post in the correct forums. There are plenty! And as Jacob implies, the search function as well as the documentation does a really nice job of explaining some of these concepts you hit early on.
