Fps starter kit + Poly limits

Hello, Im intrested in buying torque but im not the best at coding yet, so i was wondering how far the fps starter kit is along. Would it be possible to make a simple 8 player deathmatch online fps with it without much code editing?
Also whats the best sort of poly limits for use within torque.

Ok for example a 8 player fps, with characters, outdoor terrain and a bunch of buildings and weps etc. On a medium spec pc. Just looking for rough ideas on limits

Also, Torque has evolved from Tribes 2 and if you are familiar with that, you can see what kind of environments Torque can do.

It depends on what car it is, and how you drive it.
Ie, it depends what computer you're running Torque on, and what you do with each polygon.
