Dare I Ask - Release Date T2D?

Yes, I did search before I posted this - I couldn't find much information on it from GG, so I'll just come out and ask.
As a new T2D purchaser I'm very curious when T2D will become "final". Are there any ideas or even best guesses from the GG people?
Thanks guys!

An experienced developer can give informed estimates, but they are almost certainly going to be wrong. It will most likely take less or more time than estimated -- but showing the reasons for compounding uncertainty resulting in indefinite maximum times goes beyond a simple post here.
It took roughly a year to go from the original pre-release to beta so I'd guess that a full release will happen early next year. But that is just an outsider's guess.
In the meantime we have a product that, while rough around the edges, can be polished into commercial work (as has already been demonstrated). I view the continuing releases as a process, not as an end goal. I certainly hope that development doesn't stop when it "goes gold." (Nor do I expect it to.) We have a good product now that will only contine to improve.
I like that.

I think the problem is the lack of certainty. Uncertainty grows with complexity, both of which grow faster than project size. I can say with 99% certainty that I could write a perl "hello world" in the next 30 seconds -- but what if Windows locks up? What if there is a power outage? An experienced developer can give informed estimates, but they are almost certainly going to be wrong.
