Metallic water anyone?

Any suggestions if one could make a TSE waterblock look like liquid metal?

I think this would be a good thread in the Shaders section rather than in General Discussion.

I'm still waiting for my shaders book to turn up before a start playing around with Render Monkey to design shaders.

Yes if admin could move it...

But also it's General Discussion forum....

To me it's a tad more than just the shader .. maybe it goes in Engine?

Maybe it goes here...?

I don't know I guess I can't do anything right around here...

You could start by playing with the "fresnelBias" to make it more reflective. Then turn down "clarity" and lower your "baseColor".

A resource for that?

Just change the water settings... not hard to get it looking like that.

Erm, I didn't save the settings... but I'll have a play around later and see about posting them.

I'll see about posting some other effects as well...

@Juan in your *.mis files under the waterblock section is a command for the color.
The TSE water has a default refraction (reflecting effect). He just played with those
color numbers.
