MultiRes Problem

Hi everybody!

Probably a noob problem but I can't seem to export MultiRes'd shapes out of 3ds max 5.1 without a fatal error and crash. I understand that the max2dts exporter I have can't work with max 5.1's version of MultiRes. I searched the forums and have found others who had the same problem. They solved it by replacing the MultiRes.dlm in 3dsmax5\stdplugs with MultiRes from v.4.

Problem is, I never had 3ds max 4. There were some links in old threads to download MultiRes v.4 or a new max2dts that was compatible with max 5's MultiRes, but all of those links are dead now. Is there anywhere I can go to download MultiRes v.4 or an updated max2dts exporter for max 5?

Just got it to work!!!

I googled for "multires.dlm" and found an old version at www.shiftermod.com, dropped in the new (old) multires.dlm, applied the AdjustLODS macroscript, and viola!!! The LODs work fine the showtool!!!

This is a great workaround for anyone who has this problem! Hope it helps!

yes its works, but only in the "Showtools" (for me).. not in Torque ??
