Does anyone know what the status of the Game Beavers website is? I have not been able to get on to it for a couple of weeks now.

The site got cracked by some idiot months ago, then never any word of what happened, or word on its future.

It would be cool to get a good site setup... the GG community has much more people now than it did when GB was first setup, so it could support it.

Hopefully TDN will be released fully after IGC. I can't wait until it's all ready!

I think I heard something about the submissions page having some issues but that they were looking into it.
They are simply lacking people going there and putting in the content. Might take a look.

No it hasn't had alot of love in the last couple years, and people haven't contributed to it. Can you blame the maintainers for not keeping it up?
Really, Digital Boneyard is can only exist out of the kindness of developers and artists who have assets that they think others might be able to make some use of.

Digital Boneyard was a project discussed here on the GG's site. Before it even had a chance to get started the GameBeavers site was announced and quickly opened, this pretty much killed it for what it was intended. No it hasn't had alot of love in the last couple years, and people haven't contributed to it. Starting a new site is particularly difficult, as you need to create enough initial content to capture the interest of visitors. This is even more important if you expect others to contribute too, plus you need to make contributing as quick and simple as possible, which in turn requires at least a working knowledge of server side scripting.

It requires a lot more time, effort and money to maintain a site than most people realise. Although you can get by with a limited supply of the latter in the initial stages, you will need to put in more of the other two to make up for it.Starting a new site is particularly difficult, as you need to create enough initial content to capture the interest of visitors.
