TSE gives application can not find d3dx9_27.dll

I recently purchased TSE.. I couldn't really find a release version in CVS so I guess I got the latest HEAD version as of 9/17/05. When I go to compile, everything is fine.. 11 successfulls.. however, when I trying to click on the DEMO_Debug version.. I get the following error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
TSE_DEBUG.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I go to check the DirectX9 Runtime directory.. I see d3dx9_27.dll is there. I even manually overwrote the file again from the unpacked directory that the installer pulls from. Still no go.
Any suggestions on this one?
I removed all prior DX9 packages (per DirextX installation suggestions) and now just have the Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK (August 2005) version.

I had a similar problem "This application has failed to start because X3DAudio1_4.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

As of today, I've built TSE Head with the DirectX August 2005 SDK. I too ran into this error, and found a solution here:
www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html
I followed their advice and downloaded/installed their D3DX August Update. Worked perfectly.
This certainly does present a wrinkle when it comes time to distribute a TSE game.
