Anyone using Code::Blocks?

Just wondering if there are Torquers out there using the free IDE Code::Blocks.

It looks pretty good and it would be nice to use with Torque, not having to cough up $$$ for MS when a free alternative exists.

I don't use Code::Blocks, but it looks to be pretty good. I had coughed up the money awhile ago for a students visual studio 2003. I'll check out Code::Blocks and see how it compares.
Thanks Nigel.

yeah but unfortunately you can't use that version to produce any code you then want to sell so. EULA states it is for education only, not production.

So if we as Torquers get Code::Blocks up and running with Torque, then we both save money :)

If anybody gets Torque working on CodeBlocks, let me know. We have the free Torque Build Environment based on GCC, but Code Blocks looks like it might be a little more streamlined. jefft at garagegames dot com.

I noticed this in the Features section of the website:

"Imports MSVC projects and workspaces
(NOTE: assembly code and inter-project dependencies not supported yet)"

The way I understand that is that the terrain texture blender in TGE will not compile. However, I haven't actually tried it out. If it turns out that it will compile the whole TGE project, great!

Works with torque, except I haven't compiled 1.4 because It can't find a theora header file....
