by Donald "Yadot" Harris · in General Discussion · 09/04/2005 (9:08 pm) · 16 replies

I have ATI Radeon X300 with Xp Home latest Patches and all. I do have the demo version of TGE that came with that learning book. The video driver I am using is version 6.14.01.6546

Here is a look at the screen

Look at the floor it looks all messed up. I am at work right now and it wont let me check it out. But if you look at the floor it is all kind of transparent.

Donald are u sure you didnt change anything? the scene in that screenshot looks like it has different terrain textures than the original book sample.

NO I am very sure. I just clicked on the Run Chapter 3 link and then hit the F11 button. It will clean up if I change the screen size like by hitting ALT + Enter to go full screen.

Alt + Enter tends to mess up the terrain lightmaps (in the bug tracker). Once you are at the resolution/size you want then jsut relight the scene and it should clear it up.

How do I "relight" the screen?

There is an option in the mission editor for "relight scene". There is a key accelerator like
alt -L or ctrl - L or something. You will see it in the editor menu.

Cool I will have to try that once I get home from Work. For some reason Dell doesn't like me to making video games at work.
