Problem in texture in torque

I have played around with quark and was successful in exporting files to torque engine.But now comes the problem -- I use a cylinder with 8 sides.Then I texture each side with a texture(individual texture).In the open 3dopen gl view the texture looks good.Hence I exportUSING 220map/build high detail DIF.It exports successfully.Then I put all the files in the appropriate folder.Then I start my engines there when I put my structure the texture comes really wrong.It seems that torque requires UVW Mapping.I have no clue whether Quark has UVW MAPPING or is there any other technique.Please do let me know what I am doing wrong.


Is there any way I can make structure shapes extruding individual faces. Since I use 3DS Max it is really a steep learning process for me to use quark or any other program other than Max.
