Copyright problem with samples?

Ok.
I just finished studying my MMus in London, and as part of my studies I was using the college studio with lot's of good staff inside. It's got Logic 7.1 PRO, And samples: My God the samples: Vienna Gold cube (something like 5000$?) Garritan strings, Dan Dean woodwinds, brass and Percussion.
Anyway anything anybody would dream having. However I cannot use the tracks I made commercially cause I don't have a licence, and the studio is there to help us learn and not get any money.
So, since I can't use the registration codes from the university, does anybody know, where I could found the samples mentioned above, but cheap (second hand maybe?). I did try Ebay but there was nothing.
Or any other way around this problem is fine by mean, as along as it's legal. I wouldn't want to be illegal in any way.
And please to tell me to go and buy everything cause I don't have that many money.
Cheers...

99% of the samples out there do not have transferrable licenses so buying "second-hand" isn't usually an option. Write the developers to check for sure. Sample developers spend good time and money developing these excellent samples. Why not save up and buy them when you're ready? Start out with Garritan Personal Orchestra or one of the cheaper East West libraries. Honestly, if you don't have the money then you don't need those expensive libraries yet.

I find of course that the Platinum is the best of the three, but of course I think that 500$ for the Gold edition and 200$ for GPO are a great bargain for money.
My only problem is that actually I'm pretty weird with my orchestrations and I use some staff which I couldn't found in any of the three: For example there is no fluttertongue for the woodwinds, and I'm not sure if there are on the brass, although these are pretty usuall techniques for both ensembles. And there is no tremolo sul pont, or bartok pizzicati in the strings.
I know I'm sounding a bit posh (and maybe a bit stupid, cause the obvious answer is that if I want these effects to just go and buy the good libraries and leave you good people alone), but I just thought to ask you, in case you know anything about it.
And anyway: Between GPO and EWQLSO Gold, which is better, for you?
Cheers...

As for the other articulations you're missing, you'll likely have to look for specialty libraries to cover them, which will of course entail more spending. Westgate Woodwinds offer flutter tongue for clarinet and flute. VSL likely has flutter tongue articulations as well, given their thorough representation of the instruments they sample. I believe Project SAM brass offers some flutter tongue patches. Garritan Orchestral Strings has the bartok and tremolo sul pont you're after, but that's an expensive collection.

I don't think Gold and GPO are comparable in quality - to my ears at least, Gold is far superior. Silver and GPO were meant to be competing products, Gold was a higher end product... but the price cuts they made on it really increase the value per dollar quite a lot. Gold is also upgradable up to the Platinum edition and will have a Pro edition with more articulations available soon, but of course those cost more money. GPO doesn't have a higher end counterpart. If you had a couple hundred dollars more to spare, you might also look at VSL's Opus 1 and 2 collections. As for the other articulations you're missing, you'll likely have to look for specialty libraries to cover them, which will of course entail more spending. If you're looking to sell your music commercially, there really isn't another option other than to search for the best deal you can find and pay out the money to properly license the sample libraries to use for yourself. Fortunately, good deals can often be found. EastWest is offering deep discounts on their original Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra libraries right now, as they are expanding them with a new 'PRO' set late September. The original EW libraries are highly functional for someone just starting out, though, and even come with their own sampler engine attached, so you wouldn't have to shell out for Gigasampler on top of the libraries. Probably the best deal out there at present (in terms of getting your money's worth out of sample content) is EWQLSO Gold...

It's a complete orchestral solution covering all sections. I don't like the sound of some of it compared to other libraries (not fond of the brass, personally), but given the price it is hard to beat. You could always supplement it with other libraries later if you make some money.
