Demo showing how new levels are loaded

Suggestions for me as a newbie.
I feel T2D starts well then there's a huge gulf between the first simple demo and the rest of the examples and documentation.
I suggest a series of Short Demos (with short explanations of tools used and general concepts) showing:
- Sprite Animation
- Level loading
- Save and Load functions
- Scoring / High scores
- Special effects
- Sound
Probably other stuff too.
I found the reference material to be hugely short of examples too.
Still wading through - after a good start I feel I'm floundering again!

I pretty much agree with your assesment of the documentation status (it's the same with TGE, too). People with game development experience should have no problem getting going with T2D but I can definitely understand how it could be hard for those that are new.

I am in the midst of writing a level editor right now which will demonstrate and provide very simple level loading. Once that's done, I'm planning to create a couple of small starter kit type demos that will show off the editor and provide starting points for new developers. They should cover what you have suggested.I pretty much agree with your assesment of the documentation status (it's the same with TGE, too). Good luck with T2D... it's a great engine.
