New Ads?

The new ads on top of the forums, are, well, interesting, and nothing unusual for forums.
But it begs the question, Why have them on the Private SDK forums as well? The public pages makes perfect sense, but I don't really see the need for over advertising the Private Areas.
The GG forums are great cause they are simple, clean, and not all flashy. Please don't take that away from the private sections.

After I saw a few of the ads, they didn't bother me because they were advertising for products that I thought were worthy of promoting. They aren't flashing banners screaming "BUY BUY BUY NOW!". If they ever become that, there are always adblockers.

You know, if they bug you THAT much, and you use Firefox, you can right-click and select block images from (here it will say ads.garagegames.etc etc....) It will(should) block all(most) of those ads and it won't block the screenshots of games and so on that people sometimes put in the forums.

I never really noticed the ads, til I read this post. They aren't big, flashy, or annoying. The fit into the layout, and don't really subtract from anything in the forum.

If other sites had ads like these the world would be a better place.

I like the adverts... the forums looked too plain before.
