Cvs 1.4

by Jeremy Alessi · in Torque Game Engine · 08/16/2005 (7:44 pm) · 16 replies

What name do I enter to get 1.4? Do I have to enter Head_1_4_0 ... or just Head? I think I'm probably downloading 1.3 again off the CVS at the moment as I've entered torque as the checkout module. All the old CVS instructions seem to be gone.

Use torque for torque1.4 and tse for the shader engine. The link above is a quickClip video that walks through the process.

I'm having problems.

What version of wincvs are you using?

I keep getting this error

cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: connect to cvs.garagegame.com:2401 failed: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Although I am using TortoiseCVS it shouldn't matter. I've tried torgue, tge, tge14, head etc. and its the same error each time

If you have a new question, start a new thread for it. There's no reason to resurrect old threads unless you are replying to a post on it, and even then...

This is why we encourage people to use the installers. Installers work. :)

Got any firewalls? The wincvs tutorial above should mention the module.

But 1.4 doesn't work yet, so why put it in an installer? :)

@Ben
Is it tge or torque for 1.4 or something else to get the latest version ?
I can login with torque but with tge no luck , does this mean some have access and some not ?
Thanks for any answer !

Using torque should get you 1.4.
one way to tell is check out the folder structure in the gui folder.
If there are folders, you have 1.4.
No folders under the gui folder mean 1.3.
