We have invited certain community members that have contributed heavily to move their status up to "Associate." As we move GG forward, there is no way we can keep up with everything ourselves, so Associates help us with forum moderation and support, tutorial creation, coding, etc.

In exchange, Associates get access to an Assocaties-only forum where we give them advance notice of what is going on, they get some recognition (more to come as we flesh out that part of the site) which could look good on a resume, and, finally, better royalties onoce they publish their game.

Right now, the only way to become an Associate is to be invited by a GG founder. Eventually, we hope to have a more automated and formalized process. In the meantime, if you feel you have the right stuff, you can email me at jefft@garagegames.com. Before you apply, please completely fill out your developer profile with work samples, background, etc.

We need Associates in all areas including programming, scripting, modeling Worldcraft, 3DS, QuARK, and animation and exporting.

If this thread starts to fill out, I will write a ,plan that more completely explains the role of Associate and how to apply.

Edit: Helps to get my email address correct:)

Yes, i am also thinking about applying for associate status this summer, if the option is avialable then :) ill have tons of free time and i plan on spending 90% of it programming... working on a lot of cool things. All alone at school, with a t3 to (almost) my self... ooo the possibilities...
