Is there any way to change this?
The reasion im asking is i wish to "paint" paths in my terrain, but i want he texture to be seen fully. Curently, when close up, every texture used on the terrain looses its deffinition, and the detail texture bleeds threw, I understand this is suposed to be this way. But, it is hindering my look for the game i want.
So, is there a way to setr the Texture resolution across the board, or per texture? I have looked threw everything i can get my hands on, but have found nothing.
Like i said, i wish to paint somthing like a stone path, but anytime o do, when walking doan it the texture looses deffinition, and the detail texture bleeds threw it, It dosnt look good at all.
Thanks in advance.
Also, i cant get any texture larger than 256 x256 or 72 DPI to work...whats up with that?

What would be the best solution would be indipeniant resolutions or tiling (80 x 80 ETC..) for each texture.

I have yet to see a resource that changes terrain texture resolutions, it's not a trivial change as you need to modify the blender.

You're never really stuck with something.. but if you can't do it yourself, you'll have to wait until someone else does it or just avoid the problem, for instance.. with the method Eric used to make each tile smaller.

Given that TGE was powering Tribes II in the middle of the 90's.. there is nothing odd with it using 256x256 textures. You're never really stuck with something.. but if you can't do it yourself, you'll have to wait until someone else does it or just avoid the problem, for instance.. with the method Eric used to make each tile smaller.

I had it working once too, but unlike "the other guy" I didn't get the blender to work at all so I ditched it.

I know someone who has, but he says it's too tied to his Project and is a mess to pick out from the code.I had it working once too, but unlike "the other guy" I didn't get the blender to work at all so I ditched it.

The terrain is limited to 256x256.
