Composer for hire (and music for sale)

by Matias Puumala · in Jobs · 07/16/2005 (10:29 am) · 17 replies

Wow, now this is an old thread! Hopefully it doesn't mind if I bump this up, instead of doing another thread regarding the same topic.

Amppiworks - Music production and royalty free music store.

Yet another music composer here. I'm always open for offers from serious developers. I can write music in many different styles, but orchestral is my main forte. Here you can listen to my works.

From the Amppiworks Store website, you can also purchase and instantly download music to be used in your productions. Prices should be bearable even for the indiest of indie. :)

Sweet tracks... I really like "Holding the Line" and "The Last Escape"

I'd love to be able to afford professional tracks for my game... ah well.

Thanks!

I'm willing to listen to all offers, might not be as expensive as you might think. :)

We are a team of 4 graphics artists who are making a mod for the Source-engine. We could consider hiring someone to do sound effects (and perhaps music but we may have that covered) if the price is right. We are a competent and motivated group who work 8 hours a day on this project. Please e-mail me on origin@home.se if you are interested and we can talk more.

This is good stuff! What do you use for your orchestral/choir sounds?

Your prices are so low too! How do you make any money?

Thanks! Most of the choirs and orchestras are from EastWest samples.

I've actually got quite a few complaints that my prices are too high. But anyone with any seriousness in their projects should be rather more than happy with these! :)

How often do people buy your albums? I wouldn't think there would be that many new games...I dunno, $120 doesn't seem like much for writing basically a whole score. Maybe I should rethink careers, lol.

Is EastWest just a collection of like, 4 bar riffs, or can you play any note on a keyboard? I'm looking for a good synth/sample collection--was thinking Omnisphere, but it's too pricey for me.

120$ is only for a downloadable album, price for a custom score is of course totally different :)

Yes, they are multisample libraries playable on a keyboard. No riffs or such, though their RA library does have some phrases for ethnic woodwinds. Omnisphere has some nice choirs and human voices in it as well.

Are you using the EastWest Prosamples? The description on musiciansfriend.com mostly says it's bass riffs, piano licks, drum loops, etc. This is for Vol. 28 Vocal House, so it may not be what I'm looking for.

Well anyways, I don't want to flood your advert asking questions, though I'm sure you like the bumps.

Excellent music all around!
