Level editor won't open....

The level editor won't open no matter what i do.

I am using an iBook G4 running Mac OS X Tiger.

Do these steps EXACTLY......

1 Open up a level which you would like to edit.
2 Press any of these keys - /~
3 Type $testcheats=1;
4 Hit Enter.
5 Press any of these keys again - /~
6 Hit F11.

Press Escape any time to get rid of the editor.

The version that comes bundled with the mac uses ctrl-F10 instead of the ~ key
