Storywriting tools

What tools do you guys use for writing stories for games? I'm talking about an actual, scene-by-scene story outline here, not just a scenario. Do you use a word processor or something more specialized?

Word (PC and Mac) for narrative and Final Draft (PC and Mac) for dialogue.

I'm not a writer, but I've heard good things about Dramatica. I don't know if people are using for games, though.

I just write it using screenplay software, forget the name of the one i'm using but it's free.

Sophocles all the way. Puts the others to shame (and I've tried a lot since I've written about 10 or so short movie scripts).

Final Draft and Word

Thanks for all the replies. Word it is. I already have it and it seems quite popular. :-)

Why exactly would one need tools for storywriting? Just curious, really, because I haven't really heard of tools required for storywriting; I thought it would just be something done within Torque (once you program the appropriate procedures and such).

EDIT: sentence structure error; that's what i get for messing around with every end of one sentence while only paying half-attention to it. =P

I think the intent was to see if anyone was using some of the tools available like Dramatica and such to set down a cohesive story. Essentially, the only "tools" necessary for story writing is a writing implement, something to write on, and a storyteller with a story to tell. Dramatica helps organize ideas. Word helps put them into a semi-concrete form from which they can be transcribed to the page by a printer. Final Draft does the same thing as Word, but it includes formatting procedures defined by a number of authorities for writing scripts (screenplays, plays, dialogic interactions, etc).

Oh, okay. Thanks, David. :D

I was worried I was missing out on something important. =P

Dramatica is really a great program. Ive never actually taken a story to completion using it, but wow is it fun to play with.
