GG site polls?

I was just interested to see if any plans to have a site poll feature? I think GG could get alot of info from this. People could also suggest polls as well. Good idea or bad idea? What do you think?

One of the things I love about GG forums is no stupid smileys and no polls.
They just get annoying after a while.

I thought he meant GG created polls on a sidebar or something like you see in many news sites not forum polls. If that's the case, I like how the forums are "clean" now.

No, they can start boring and pointless posts.

I was just thinking this would be nice to have. They can get annoying, but can be very useful as well. For instance a question like this you don't have the possibility of having 30 replies of just yes or no. I would like to see a polling system a little more advanced more like a rating system where you could leave a comment about why you said yes or no and if someone wanted to read those they could. But it can be a clean way to see how people feel about something without cluttering things up, so long as you have the option for more feedback then just a simple answer (as I mention).

@Jason - I wouldn't expect a web site feature to impact engine development one way or another. The skills for each job are pretty far apart.
