What brought you to GarageGames? Was it the game engines technology, the price, the community, or a diehard Tribes fan? Please tell why you came to GarageGames and what interested you the most about the community?

I had a few ideas running around for games but I wasn't sure, at the time, how to put them to work. Someone told me about the Torque engine and after looking at some of the demos here, I figured I should try it. I have yet to obtain a license (a little jobless at the moment) but when I do, I can't wait to get started on some of the nitty gritty parts of the game. Right now, I'm just getting some ideas together so it looks more planned out before purchasing a license and getting it to work.

Hired to make a game for a client. I ran to the bookstore to get a good book on 3D games. Found Ken Finney's book and the rest is history (or if not history, then just the last year of my life)...

TGE was suggested by a friend of mine, and from that point on I've been hooked by the community, the source availability, and the constant badgering that I get for my Helicopter class.

In my search I found A6 gamestudio, Darkbasic Pro, and much later I was advised to take a look at torque (on the forums of gamedev.net). I didn't want the first two and am now very interested in a Torque license. Just have to order it but still have to look in to the how-part. Not sure my banking card qualifies as a credit card (it does have the maestro logo on it, which is a part of mastercard).

I got fed up with writing my own engines so I started looking for premade engines so I could focus more on gamedevelopment (finally). In my search I found A6 gamestudio, Darkbasic Pro, and much later I was advised to take a look at torque (on the forums of gamedev.net). I didn't want the first two and am now very interested in a Torque license. Just have to order it but still have to look in to the how-part. Sorry that I'm a female. I really don't want to change that, I love men too much.

There was a business need to be filled. I asked the local university on what to use, they mentioned "Torque". I have some coding experience, mostly in database. Sorry that I'm a female. I really don't want to change that, I love men too much.

I was searching the google for an appropriate engine and Torque stayed top in the results under most keywords. I must admit, it's one of the few products that i've purchased that's failed to let me down. Fantastic work guys!
