I just completed some samples with Atlas, and Terragen... I must say - wonderful..

Does anyone know of a RAW image editor for photoshop?
(if there is such a thing)

Photoshop can load/save some RAW formats.

But only 8 bit raws. Currently i think only CS2 supports 16 bit raw formats. So far i havent been able to find anything else that supports 16 bit raw files.

I've been opening 16 bit raw files in Photoshop 5.

CS opens 16 bit raw, but they really look like crap. Are they supposed to look like a bunch of noise?

I can open 16 bit raw files in Photoshop but i cant save them as 16 bit raws. It converts them to 8.

Ben do you know if your is doing this?

Joe, you have to make sure you are putting in the right information about the raw file, such as size and encoding. It should be IBM/Motorola (Big Endian) 16 bit unsigned.

That might be the problem. I'll look into it tomorrow. Been up all night working on a RentACoder project. The things we'll do for $20...

The Forum is a wonderful thing.....

For a Terragen 513 the settings in CS 2 are:
Width: 513
Height: 513
Count: 1
Depth: 16
Byte Order: IBM PC
Header: 0
