Lack of art documentation

Hello,

Im looking for documentation on how to get models exported from 3d Studio Max, when I looked in the resources and found

DTS Shape Creation : 3D Studio Max

www.garagegames.com/mg/projects/tge/#art

but what I found was documentation on Maya2DTS docs, Is this just a mistake or were the docs for max replaced? No longer supported? Can you point me toward the right docs?

The links to the documents are kept up-to-date on the Torque for Artists page.

Many thanks guys. Are these docs good for TSE as well?

DTS's in TSE & TGE are currently handled the same way as far as the exporting process goes. You will have to learn about the TSE material system before you'll be able to see it in game though, with some info available on how the system works up in the owners forum (it's surprisingly simple).

Thanks again,

Heres a questions that may be better asked elsewhere...but as a 3d artist who is working with developers in TSE, where are the art docs? Are they "pay for a peek" or how does an artist who wants to make pretty things get down and dirty with TSE?

Anyone?

@Myk: As far as exporting TSE works the same as TGE. When applying materials there's a little scripting that your developers can easily do to get your model working. (it's a single line that is required to register the material, including any shaders you might want on it)

Thanks Xavier, I want to learn to be more self reliant in TSE, and am finding it a bit more than challenging. I suppose access to the TSE forums would help alot.
