Can foliage replicator be used for clouds?

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried to use the fxFoliageReplicator to create a live and editable mass of clouds? Had much luck? Many technical challenges?

Why do you say 'cartoony clouds'? Have a reason to believe that vaporious clouds won't show up well with it?

no vaporous clouds would show up just fine. I just think they might not end up looking very realisitc unless you did some custom coding. try it out and see :)
I say cartoony because that would be easy, and could probably be pulled off with the stock code. its ok if cartoony doesn't look realistic as you move around in the 3d world. But if you are using realistic images it'll be obvious that they aren't real volumes as you move around. if you do symetrical cloud puffs it could look more real, but I don't usually see symetrical cloud puffs in the sky. but hey if you have lots of small cloud puffs high up in the sky it might look great. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Unless you edited the code...

You do use it for clouds because if you tried the clouds would just fall to the ground as it appears that it needs the terrain or something to block it from falling though.Unless you edited the code...
