Out of curisosity, why did you feel ffx-2 was a big let down? i thought it was interesting because for once you had a choice what missions to complete, and how much story to get. Granted it was a pain to complete ALL the quests. but hey, the ending was worth it.

Quote:What ever happened to classics like Final Fantasy?

As in Final Fantasy for the NES ?
Wait for a bit. Thanks to 3DBuzz, Torque2D, and some dedication - these games will return better than ever.
Least if some of the people I know in the business have anything to say about it ...

Whores hehe yeah, i was thinking the same thing.... but they had all sorts of different whore outfits they could wear. Frankly i couldn't see yuna wearing 1/2 of that stuff :) but hey, sex sells.

@Matt And i loved Dead or Alive for that reason. Well plus i like the fighting system. Oh, and i'm trying to make an RPG. Slowly... very slowly.

Like here are two renders from lightwave. Course that number of polys is about 2x-3x times that of the ingame models.

Hmm i'm unsure about that. It's possible, but i personally haven't heard so.

But also, to get back to the point of this thread. I'm working on developing a game with a few unique twists to the battles system that doesn't appear in any japanese style RPG im aware of. I'm a huge fan of the classic RPGs. I've played nearly every console RPG made.... so i understand that feeling. Games Like star Ocean 3 was great... cept.... a certain part of the story which i was like... "Yeah.... right... ok, oh.. you guys aren't going to question that.... right"
