Animation doesnt move the whole body in space....

I got one small problem. I gota export my stuff by the end of this weekend and I am having difficulties exporting animation sequences. For some weird reason my animation exports, it plays but it doesnt move the sceleton in space, it only applies animation to the whole body without moving it around in space. Basically I have a cat thats attached to professors back and when professor bends down the cat has to move down with the professor. I am exporting professor and cat as different models with different animations and then i will place them together in torque. I need to remove the cat sometimes so I cant export both at the same time. I am not doing blend animation.
