Is there a way to load a video in torque game engine or torque 2d? to make a cutscene? also I heard there was a plugin to make SWF (flash) work fo the GUI in torque? or is it already implemented in the newer versions?, am I correct? can somebody confirm this?

Just a quick note as I'm heading out the door...

Flash GUI Component
Video Playback in Torque

As for actual in-game cutscenes I've got no resources to point you to though I'm certain you could do it with some creative use of TorqueScript and camera manipulations.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

In other words, there isn't anything that resembles the game cinematic creation tools found in the Unreal Editor, am I right?

Scott you may also want to check into Bink Video. It is heavily used in games and includes an SDK that you can incorperate into Torque, you will have to purchase a licence.

Heres my usual, drop a url and run away in the vain hope it may be useful ;) This a competant x-platform library that you may be able to pull into torque.

I looked into gstreamer a while back and it seemed like a great library. I stopped looking at it when I began playing with T2D. I should probably revisit the idea.
